it always has been an mmorpg since january 2003, which is when i found out about the game and when they put their site online.

It's possible you misunderstood the Q/A where they ask for a singleplayer part, which has been asked on several occasions. On that question they say they don't know yet. It's possible in the future they might make an offline tutorial.

There has never been a plan to make a singleplayer game, it always has been a MMORPG. Maybe you're mistaking it with another game (Pirates!, Pirates of the Caribbean,... ?)

Problems i have with Morpg games like potbs...

>even when you insubcribe the company always invariably over charge you another month.

>you cannot mod the game in any way at all,it is completely in the hands of the developers.

>in a normal game where players can run servers if you always invariably find dorks that spoil the game,no problem if you can switch servers in a normal multiplayer game (which is free) and play another game,with this single world setup your stuck with who eva is a member.

Speaking generally about MMORPG's, I couldn't have said it better than Sinbad. All the same, it's a game, and it should be fun to play. I'm definitely aiming to buy it.
Although, I would be hypnotized if it featured a serious version/server-- like an <i>intense</i> concept for `role-players`.

Problem is that developers don't give a crap about it, because the market is low, and it would require a lot of efforts from their side to tweak and support it.

Hi guys i would like to know if in POTBS it would be possible for human players to form guilds and control towns for the crown they serve or for pirate leaders.

I mean will this be a real community expirience or it will have some limitations ?
Can you build in the game ?
Can its Map be expanded in the future ? maybe including continental South America were the Portuguese and the Dutch can have their SAY ?
