Where can I get the Deringer mod? with the french and english marines?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Ehm. Nowhere, I'm afraid. It used to be on the FTP, so you could check that. But I don't know if the FTP works yet.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

so, for us NOOBs that haven't loaded anything yet, including the base game, what should i load after the initial install? 13 full? 13 update 3? 13 update3 full?
thanks for the advice,
iball

build 12.1. build 13 will run better if you install that first. i'm not really sure if build 13 update 3 full includes build 13 though. you will need the biggest. however, you will need an extra file to make it work properly. it should be floating around somewhere.

thanks, and sorry for the repetitive questions.......

before you ask another: without the small fix the game will not run with build 13 update 3 installed! i don't remember where it was, but you will certainly need it.

Built 12.1 is gone!

build 14a6 additional is the one that i need to put over build 14a5, right?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

From what I gather, you just need Build 14a6. I'm not quite sure though. It's all very confusing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> If you have 14/5, 14/6 additional goes on top of that!
Otherwise you go straigt to 14/6, which is realy a bugfix over 14/5.
I only posted the download for 14/5 because some Pirates kept
asking for it! Believe me, Build 14 Alpha 6 is very stable!
Some things don't work the way they should and remember that you
can turn things on or off in Buildsettings.h and Internalsettings.h
....and for Pirates running 13/3, 14/6 goes on top!!
Make a copy of your Pirates of the Caribbean folder, so you can go back
wenn something goes wrong!
Another thing, Rupert and I ( Rupert first) tried to get Pirates interested
in using the Generic Mod enabler JSGME. The only thing I can say to yous,
Use it!! I bet Rupert can sing Praises about this little Gem and it's very
easy! I mean, if dumm Pirate Nosie can use it, anybody can!!!!!!
Posts have been writen about this before and I'm quite surprised, that it
has not been taken up. Every time, I read about People writing about installs
from the beginning, I get itchy!!! Well, that was my rant and I hope it makes
you feel better, because I do!!!!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" />

If we could work around that little issue.

JSGME would be a great aid to this game in setup and modding.

from what i've heard, build 14a6 is stable, but buggier than build 14a5. however, that annoying boarding freeze has been fixed now, so i might start playing build 14a6.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> I don't know, how can 14/6 be buggier then 14/5?
Makes no sence to me, 14/6 was put out to fix the bugs
in 14/5!!!!!!!!!!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Rupert,
I'll have to have a go at installing PotC using the Mod Enabler.
There has to be a way around that Runme.bat!?
Did you ever try it? It works realy well with AOP! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

sure, build 14a6 fixed bugs in build 14a5, but created new ones. but as i said, i'm losing track. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> More about the Mod Enabler:
I installed the Base program followed by JCGME.
Used the Enabler to install Mod 12 full, it works fine.
took the Mod12 out again, again works fine!
Since Mod 13 is a Install Program, the mod enabler
can't be used for that one.
So I installed it the usual way. After that used the
Mod enabler again for 13.1 and 13.3 full and they work fine!
If there are any Minor updates, you can put them into the Mod
in the Mod Enabler Program before adding the mod!
So that can be followed up by 14 and updates and if any Mod does not work
the way it should, it can be taken out again. So there is no need for starting
from scratch!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Ignoring the runme issue

Just rename your POTC directory
then run the 13 full installer

the result is the mod.

rename that POTC directory and move it over to your JSGME mods folder

then rename the renamed POTC directory back to normal.
