I've made a few new weapons to go into the game, 5 new swords. Problem is, the tutorials for adding items don't take into account the new way the initItems.c file is organized... I can get my weapons to show just fine, however. I added the icons onto the free spaces on items8.tga.tx, thinking it wouldn't affect anything, and then when I started the game, there weren't any icons for gunpowder or bullets that were in my inventory.
Anyways, the 5 new swords are as follows:

Jack Aubrey's Saber
The sword favored by the famous Lucky Jack. He carried this sword against the French privateer "Acheron", in 1805

Franklin Rapier
Forged in Boston at a smith sponsored by Benjamin Franklin, these excellently crafted American sabers cut through anything.

Swiss Guard's Saber
These light swords are carried by the vaunted Swiss Guardsmen, who are sworn to protect the Pope and the Vatican.

Lifeguard's Saber
These excellently crafted blades are used by the British Life Guard heavy cavalry regiment. How it ended up in the Caribbean is unknown.
<img src="http://www.ipa-consolidated.net/potc/imperialguard.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
Imperial Guardsman's Rapier
These types of swords were handed out to Napoleon's Imperial Guard officers during the latter parts of the Napoleonic Wars.
I don't have them textured and hexed for world model views, but I figure it doesn't really matter since you can't really see the sword's hilt very well. If someone who can hex wants to do this, that would be great, too.
Thanks!
