new english soldier skins

Hi all! I tried to make those red uniforms a bit more realistic looking. here, have a look at what I mean

I'm still workin on it so hopefully it'l get a bit better!

Not bad at all mate. They definitely look more worn and used.

Keep up the good work. They look a lot better than when I was just starting to use photoshop.

*Just to make you sure you know we are not in conflict. A project to remake all the nations militaries and navies uniforms is underway. I just finished France and Spain which can be downloaded from the FTP. I was going to start on Britain tonight.

I wanted to let you know right from the get go. Two things can come out of people not communicating. Either they feel slighted like "here I was working for how long on something, etc" or they feel like they shouldn't continue with their work. Sometimes on modding forums people take possession of ideas and get mad when others are working on them. I want to say up front that is not the case with me. I'm glad that more people are are working on mods for the game. In fact I'm sure we can work on projects together. If you were planning on releaseing a new set of Redcoats, please do so. Don't stop just because I am too. People can always download whichever they like best. Also, my skins are all in the late 18th century, early 19th during the Napoleonic Wars. I don't think ours would be in conflict at all.

I hope I have accurately expressed how glad I am to see you making these. Again, we are not in conflict, but helping each other make the game better.

Of course JMV, I totally understand what you mean i am a big fan of your historically correct skins. i predicted you would try english skins just as lately you have been doing some skinpacks but, i was in no way tryin to steal somethin' from ya there. if I ever upload it i'll specifically call it "benny's redcaot skinpack" or somthin' like that. i'm glad you like it and good luck on your skins!!!

Terrific job. Once I finish my 18th Century mod I wanted to work on something for the early 17th Century, similar to the original Sea Dogs. I think your skins are great. Want to team up on that project?

Ah yes, the Disnified version of the real `old-Privateer`'s charter which later became a sort of `buzz-word` for Privateers' men, "No Prey, No Pay." I think someone says it in the game somewhere. I assuem Disney thought no one would know what it meant. Oh well. Its still a good movie. Much better than it had any right to be.
