Here’s an idea for a Navy Mod:
Player starts a new game and Maximus’s Choose Character Mod shows. Besides all normal choices, player gets an option:
1. Civilian(You can be a privateer/pirate or trader.)
2. Naval Officer(You get Navy benefits/restrictions.)
a. Benefits
i. Salary [appropriate to rank]
ii. Prize system (see part “c.”)
iii. Uniform [appropriate to rank]
iv. Free ship repairs
v. Military-class ships [appropriate to rank]
vi. Free provisions (Rum, wheat, shot, gunpowder, sailcloth, planks)
vii. Naval Officers (see part “d.”)
viii. ??? Naval weapons??? (See part “e.”) Auto-stocked Weapons Locker.
ix. KBlack’s Tuning mod-at all major islands.
x. Navy tavern/pub
b. Restrictions
i. Hard to make money other than from salary (which is meager) and prize system.
ii. Can’t take non-military cargo from captured ships.
iii. Can’t change uniforms
iv. Can’t buy/sell ships
1. Player can’t add captured ships to their squadron.
v. EXPENSIVE supplies where they are not free (Non-mother nation ports.).
vi. Can’t remove/fire officers
vii. Can’t change nationality (Example: British naval officer may not become a privateer to any other nation)
1. Can’t change occupation (become privateer, trader)
c. Prize system- when an enemy ship is carried (boarded and captured), the player talks to one of their officers. They can order the officer to do one of two options.
a. Scuttle Ship - Player gets no money, but gets a large amount of planks, sailcloth, gunpowder, and shot, and the ship sinks.
b. Take ship as Prize – Officer is removed from the passengers list for a week, along with the minimum crew of the prize ship. After the week has elapsed, you see a message in the top left corner that says, “Mr. _______ has returned.” “Your share of the prize money is <i>x</i>.” (<i>x</i>=1/3 total value of the ship.)
d. Officers-
i. Navigator----->Master
ii. Quartermaster----->Purser
iii. First Mate----->First Lieutenant
iv. (Add new) Second Lieutenant
v. (Add new) Midshipman
vi. (Add new) Surgeon
vii. Boatswain
viii. Player gets nine officers automatically.
1. One each of First Lieutenant, Second Lieutenant, Master, and Boatswain.
2. Four Midshipmen
e. Special Rank-based swords-
i. Master and Commander through Commodore get Navy Saber (Corsair’s Pride)
ii. Rear-Admiral and above get Presentation Sword (Solingen Rapier)
f. Special Rank-based guns-
i. M&C through Commodore get Navy pistol (Scrapper)
ii. Rear-Admiral and above get Brace of Flintlock Pistols (Brace o’ Large Pistols)
g. Auto-stocked Weapons locker
i. Pretty obvious there.
 
I like it, though this is one of the missions of the P&E mod. I think that this should be part of the P&E mod, as the porpose of the mod is to put you in the Napoleonic Era Navy.
