Nat Hawke can`t walk.

Oldtimer

Master Mariner
Hi all,

I`ve had this problem for some time. My build 12 runs OK on 3 computers. 2 with ATI Radeon cards, one with Nvidia.

I managed once to get with much effort and reinstallations the post build 12 to work on an Radeon machine.
Something happened(MOB related hung up on start up of system) and it stopped working. At all installation attempts the problem was the same:

- Nat can`t walk. He turns around, fast travel works for changing locations, BUT HE CAN`T WALK!!! He couldn`t do it on any installation attempt bar one.

Now playing build12 after getting a taste of the post build is not that attractive. Has anyone encountered this problem?
I`ll be away next week but want to post this because I hope it`s something easily fixed. Please help... Also I am a total computer dummy, so if there is an explanation, please take that into account.

Regards, Oldtimer

Hi Oldtimer. Have you tried to use keyboard press " w " to move. Also in options try to change settins.
I changed to default settings and for a while I thought I had the same trouble as you. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
Usually I use mouse to move. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Please reset the controls to default and use the W and S keys to move forward and backwards. If that doesn't work, something got messed up. If that does work, change the controls and see if that works. Warning: DON'T change the sidestep buttons through the change controls interface!
