I'm interesting in diving into Trading to see how that works out. In the beginning, it sucks absolute butt if you don't have skill points in it, or an officer with anything in it. You gain a better percentage at the shops when your points go up, plus the modifiers in abilities - I want to see how lucrative it can be to do actual trading.

Trading can be pretty insanely profitable. In one trip from one island to the next, with a trading skill of 3, I made 80,000 piasters trading a hold full of cinnamon in my caravel. The trip took me about 30 seconds.
