[edit] The paghe linked to here has sea dogs and Sea legands, an older and very similar game to pirates and sea dogs. A warning: watch the prices! amazon still has sea dogs for sale, at something like $15 american, however it is $60 at this site. Other prices are reasonable, and indeed that is one of the few places many of those games (such as sea legands) can be aquired anymore. (legally, anyway) [/edit]

Lucas Arts ruled back when the series started ,I miss those days gameplay wise. Its amazing just how much fun the ealry titles still are today.

The Secret of Monkey Island 1 is still the best Adventure ever I think (ok, with Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis) , great Story/Characters,etc.

The second part of this game is still very good, the 3rd is ok and the 4rd us a little boring, don´t know which <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" /> had LucasArts ride to change the the contol to gamepad.. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" />

Anyway, Part 1 is a real classic!

I've never played MI1 before. I started from MI2, and it is a very fun game. This is the first adventure game I played. It has memorable music and scenery. It just makes me want to go to little town or forest to do some adventure as well.

MI3 and MI4 are OK I would say. As the idea of puzzle solving is a little lame than the second one.
