I have been discussing this with Catalina and she suggested I post here for comments. I was wondering if an edit could be placed at the beginning of the game, so when you restart a game you could begin the game at the point which Oxbay is freed from the French. Example, when you begin the game in Oxbay, you would have a choice of informing the Governor of the French attack, or because of a plague in Conceicao (furtherest island) you could opt to deliver medicine and during your trip to Conceicao and return to Oxbay the English have liberated the city. Any other type scenario(s) could be used, just to have to avoid having to go through the steps of liberating Oxbay, if you didn't want keep going back through it everytime you start a new game. Not being a programmer I am not sure how such an edit would effect the Black Pearl quest.
