After some time away from coas i returned a bit smarter and with tones of new ideas for it.From modding alot games in past 2-3 years i learned alot tricks how to make old game more modernized so lets start.

Im checking out my unfinished mod Destiny of Pirate and repairing,remaking and improving it.I wont add anything new in it so after i finish all things i have in it with current knowledge ill publish it under new name Pirates Desires and for adding new stuff etc that will work as patches.In that way i will be able stay up to date with some mods i combined with my.

For start im back on weathers and to tell u truth i made great dicoverys which i didnt notice before so here are some screens from:
New skyboxes and clouds
New reflections which are applyed to sea surface(sun,islands,ships,objects,buildings,clouds,skys)
Next are merging fog colors with skyboxes to avoid islands floating and sky cover by fog
after that ill go to weather rain and storms

UPDATE 1.01: yea im finished with weather finaly i imported few new skyboxes for storms and made bigger waves for it.dw it wont swallow ur ship no matter how small it is...boats arent ships so xD
Got new sun textures and sun reflection on sea also new flares for sun
Activated and modified sun overflow
New moon texture plus modified overflow
Sea waves are now bigger but calmy few ships will need be modified which have small deck so small part of wave dont go thro it
Ill make later some great screens

Next to do is remodel my old main menu and interfaces

UPDATE 1.02:changed coas vanilla main menu with aop ct main menu from gof 1.1
Made new hd textures for rocks,island,pier,barrels,wood planks,new text style,removed board logo so now ur able see ship.
Made new logo
Modified ship data so now any ship can spawn.
Ship is now able to sail away into distance.
Water in mainmenu is now more wavey.

UPDATE 1.03:
Changed game version notice into my mod version
Added Pirates Ahoy! site link instead seaward.ru one
New HD main menu fonts
Enabled system option to be able see exp log ingame when u recive it
Increased dead body disapear time from 100 secs up to 300 secs
Final name of my mod is kind fused with original games name so from now on when ull be able to play it game will be called Age of Pirate Desires.

UPDATE 1.04:
I created new sound for main menu,every nation city,open sea,world map,boarding,ship battles,waterfalls,tavern,
Animals as birds,crickets,frogs
Interface as new quest,logbook update,level up,buttons,money etc
Weather sounds as land rain,sea rain,ship fire,torch fire,storm waves,thunders in distance and much more

UPDATE 1.05:
Edited interface ini files for new style
Made hd backgrounds for interfaces,now every single interface will have its own background texture

NEWS: 6.2.2015

UPDATE 1.70:
Replaced vanilla lowman sailor models with ingame pirates much more detailed
models with great textures now u finaly have real sailors on deck
however i needed remade all sailorpoint files for all ships i have becouse
these models does not support vanilla lowman animations so crew now only
walk and run on deck i needed disabe gun reload and climb on masts but still
its worth it atleast until someone make man.ani animation to match lowman
animation jobs on deck for models like characters on land etc(not lod models

UPDATE 1.73:
i remade ship classes and their statistics increased hp,sails hp min/max crew
cargo etc to make them bit more harder also improved a bit smaller ships so
they are agile and fast some can carry alot but averge defense while other
cant carry much but just enought to have ammo to capture hes prey and take
it over
Medium ones are class for themself they dont have any profit from small ones
and cant take big ones atleast not alone so they hunt their size
Big ones are like gods of sea alone they can fall down but 2 or more in group
againt 3-4 medium well there will be alot red sea around them :D
Also renamed some ships

UPDATE 1.90:
3 upgrades for hull so there would be
1. - Normal: wooden ship some colors on it
2. - Rare: more detailed texture with some awesome add ons
3. - Legend: best of the best most detailed texture with alot tune ups and
royal colors used to step it up ingame from other ship to recognize whats
coming after you hehe

After retexturing it should be all together around 120 ship types and 360 ship styles

Now all classes are separated from each other in stats above
like class 6 is weak against class 5 ships they can go against each other but
1 on 1 or more 6th class against 1 5th class to manage to win

same like this with rest classes

also war type ships are different from merchant type of ships

like war type have small cargo hold but more hp/sp while merchants have
large cargo holds and small or a bit smaller hp/sp then war type but with
much more less cannon power

In that case 1 without other cant go merchants will in this way be easy to
plunder if its in same class as ur ship thats why will war types make it harder
to plunder couse while ull fight them merchants will have change to escape

adjusted ships to nations as i seems it fitts

also there will be some ships example manowar and each will be different texture
style for each nation(took idea from potc build 14)

UPDATE 2.1:
Imported Edward Theach (Blackbeard) character from potc build 14
apointed Queen Annes Revenge ship to blackbeard what makes him an character
for expert player only
Made all portraits for blackbeard

UPDATE 2.21:
redesigned ship mini images for battleinterface ui
i manage to do image for each ship i have vanilla and imported ships so no more
having class 1 ship with portrait of tartane
90% of ships have their own portrait and rest 10% are using those 90%
example - tartane,war_tartane and fr_dilligente using same image becouse they
are 98% same model design so all 3 ships are applyed to 1 image

UPDATE 2.29: - 13.3.2015
Redesign complete battle interface UI
increased icon size from 48x48 up to 64x64 and made texture 128x128 instead
64x64
changed and adjusted font sizes so there is no more to big or to small text
completly new hd icons for worldmap,land command,sea command
completly new hd battle interface UI like indicators for hp,character indicators,
ship indicators,spyglass ui,compass,cannon indicators and much more

UPDATE 2.33: - 15.3.2015
New HD textures for mini ships on world map with detailed nation sails
Adjusted sea colors of world map
increased ship view range so now u can see ships far away they dont dissapear
anymore so now u sea much much more ships on world map which makes
it alot more active then before
New UI for world map,new design for time of a day(added calculated clock on radar)

I can't be of much help with the textures file your asking about. @TheBlackKnight might be of more help though.

I seem to remember swapping out the PotC ones with the AoP/CoAS ones and that indeed didn't make any difference either.
So I'm not sure what's up with those. o_O
 
OMG! You fixed those flying islands! Good job! I've been waiting for this for ages! And the reflections and sky box are really impressive!
 
Its not about texture that would be to easy i know they used it in creating game but they didnt like effect of it or something so they disabled it or remove code like if u remove codes for character it wont show in strarting game even u have models and textures.
I didnt fix islands my skyboxes are fused with end of sea area with small fog so it expands sea view highter in distance to not notice that islands are floating.anyway ill also try alternative for that ill try expand wave area so it covers all that flat waves in distance couse i sea area around ship have highter sea position.

I need 1 more thing from players do this for me:no matter ur on vanilla or not

Get in game
Get hour around 21:00
Place camera to watch end of sea and sunset
Press R to speed up time and wait untill 22:30
Watch sun going down untill that game time
Do this twice and tell me do u get crash to descop

I got that prob but idk is my fault or its stock bug

EDIT:Forget that i asked i found out whats making crash its not my coding it happens if i change skybox texture at 22:00 time so ill just leave it vanilla texture there and try take out of it what i can idk why it wont let me switch textures there any other time works like charm

Also i noticed that pena texture is actually from potc belive it or not i instaled potc and saw same texture and noticed that texture as sea foam in potc so i think they draged it all way from potc lol

Another great group of screen shots mate, the Caribbean looks so much better without all that fog and floating islands! :onya

Things have slowed down a bit on CoAS around here, but there are several still playing it, and some still modding. As I said earlier, I haven't played it in quite a while myself, I have given up on Windows and moved on to Linux. I may try and get it running with Wine one of these days, but Hearts of Oak and hunting for news take up most of my free time.

This time of year things are always slow around here because people have so much to do during the summer, things will pick back up some in a couple of months.

Btw can u if u have extract main menu files from aop ct which are used in coas by gof mod i think i have it but i mess up something and i didnt make backup i tryed use aop ct but now it shows amd works but its like zoomed in so i cant see logo board which i want remake i need only those files not whole mod couse i use mobile internet and im limited with it cant download big things so i need

Why linux o_O

Because of Microsoft's insistence to turn a desktop operating system in to a mobile phone operating system. I want a real desktop operating system on my real desktop! There is also rumors that Windows 9 will be a subscription based operating system, in other words, Microsoft will charge you by the month to use Windows, isn't that nice of them? I can do everything in Linux that I can do in Windows, and I can do it the way I want to do it, not the way Microsoft thinks it should be done. There are other reasons, but those are the main ones.

I don't have access to any of the menu files at the moment, there might be some links around somewhere, I'll take a look and post if I find them.
 
Well no matter what i got win 7 modified by myself and i dont care about future windows
Win 7 is best they did and i love it ofc it needed few more personal touches but now im done for years ill switch os only when new dx comes out and ill be forced to buy new pc to be able play high end games xD or ill stay with coas for life lol

Np im at moms place on wifi and found its in gof 1.1 patch

Btw is it ok if use gof for foundation and implant cm and my mod to create new mod with support from all 3?will please any player couse theyll have all in one package and it will be easyer for me to update

Weather, sea have great graphic impact on the ships that sail and properties.

You need the original folder "Weather" in program.
Take nothing from AOP1. There are differences.
Forget everything you've read in the forum so far.
It will take long....until they see a success.

Put them a target. Always edit them only one point.
They begin with the waves.

There are several errors in the scripts. Not all are in the
compile.log, error.log, system.log displayed.

I got no probs in my mods i just didnt make backup so i cant fix what i messed
Thays why i need this gof 1.1 patch to extract those files with default settings which works in coas

Btw i want download gof 2.0 but link sends me to some search site engine any alternatives
