Max Fame

Up to 87 Fame currently, having found all 9 treasure stashes, rescued 2 family members, taken out 7 of the pirates, acheived Baron, Baron, Admiral, and Captain in the 4 navies, and divvied the plunder twice in 9 years. Ive got something like 11000 acres of property and around 95000 personal gold. I took medicine skill so ive got a long time ahead of me...im still in great health thanks to that skill, plus the herbs and salve i found along the way. Swashbuckler level can be fun if your getting old...but bieng in good health, with a metal curriasse, a pistol, and perfectly balanced swords help too heheheh

I have 122 fame at the moment - though my pirate is about to retire as he's pretty old. I've done everything short of a couple pirates treasures. I actually saved the game and retired on the last plunder divide, just to see what I would retire at and it was governor, so that was pretty cool. I am hoping to find the last couple treasures and max it out - I assume 125 is the max.

109 is the highest I've gotten so far, but I should finish better than that in my current game.

105 is the minimun for being a governor at retirement.

I loved at the end when it listed your accomplishments. It said I retired in the town of Santiago with the profession of governor, and that I had married the beautiful daughter of the governor of Santiago. Kind of sounds like you married your own daughter.

Am 101 , saved 4 family members , killed other 10 pirates and collected their treasures , my ranks are Duke ( England and Holland ) and Admiral ( France and Spain ) . My personal wealth is over 200,000 ( money ) and over 40,000 ( land ) . Married . I need just to finish the lost city quest and it over then I will start again at the first era 1620 . <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

126 is the max if you add all the point maximums on your status sheet. Im running at 109 now, having rescued all my family, achieved duke as French Spanish and British, and Admiral as Dutch. Found one of the lost cities, killed off all the pirates, and found all their treasure, plus managed to woo and marry a beautiful governor's daughter. 151000 gold and 14700 acres of land giving me 23 of 24 wealth points. I still need to find the other 3 lost cities. Id of had em by now but a sever case of the stupids hit me earlier as i walked right past the incan lost city on the way to Montalban's fortress. the darn things were literally on top of each other! Groan! Instead i spent about 3 hours searching for the temple not realizing the twin pillars were it. Aged my character a couple years in the process too. He's now 38 and just slipped into poor health, so he may be on his last expedition. Bah!

Nooooo! 126 is the max? I ended at 116 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

Well, I'm not far into the game, and I'm at about 48, I think, currently. Am playing at Rogue, but this is my initial game, so I started at Apprentice and divided the plunder several times to get up to Rogue. Think my age is about `25-27`. I would probably have more status by now, except that I just can't ignore plundering ships! It's more fun than chasing Montalban or Raymondo or Faulkes... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/diomed.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dio" border="0" alt="diomed.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

I guess the final score doesn't matter much to me, as long as I have fun at it. That's the nice thing about this game, you can do what you want, pretty much! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Aye Catalina.I've only made it tew 52,due te de fact I can't resist attack'n all de treasure ships an whatever else passes buy me,so many ships tew plunder <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Funny thing, I keep hearing about this treasure fleet that's heading to Rio De La Hacha and when I headed there, an Indian war canoe attacked the town and "softened it up" for me. Since the opportunity presented itself, I TOOK this city for the English. Now I keep hearing about that darned fleet, but it never gets here. Wonder if I "broke" this quest. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I think my fame is somewhere in the 80's, got a big boost after I got married Where do you guys find the time *life span* to save the whole family? Im already in my 30's and one map piece away from getting my uncle. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />

My first game I ended at 111 fame and had everything done. My current game though, I am already at 106 and I still have four incan cities to find as well as my grandpa and three of the pirate treasures. I just now moved into poor health, so I hope I can accomplish these quests. Oh, and I have to take Montalban's hideout still.

35. I spent alot of time sacking towns for the french and then keeping them protected. I doubt I'll finish everything, but that's okay because I had fun doing what I did. Funny thing is, I have almost 40000 acres of land to retire to because everytime I sacked a town and installed a new governor, it seemed they always gave me like 3500 acres. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

I've had the samething happen with that bloody Raymondo character. It kept saying he was sailing from Santiago to La Hamba. So I was conducting my pirating activities around La Hamba for around 5 'game' years with no sign of Mr Raymondo ever appearing. I also thought the quest was broke until I sailed to Santiago and there he was, it had taken him 5 years to leave his moorings. Try checking the departure port of the fleet Cat'.

Aye Hengist, seems if ye take to long tew get whar he was last seen,he'd already left, seldom 'ave I' ever seen em sitt'n in de tavern, caught BlackBeard jest leav'n his home port, kinda nice didn't 'ave tew sail aroun' an hunt fer em <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Seriously !!???

What is the secret here? How on earth did you keep your crew happy for so long? Is it really all about killing them off ?

Strangelove

In the game I was playing last night I had 375 crew (max for my large frigate with triple hammocks) over 200,000 gold and had been sailing for 40 months. The crew was still happy. It's all about crew to money ratio and length of time. To keep a big crew a long time you need to make a lot of loot.

<!--`QuoteBegin-Hengist`+--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Hengist)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Try checking the departure port of the fleet Cat'.[/quote]Ah HA, I'll try that, thanks, Hengist! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
