Kicking me back to windows - Game problem not pc

I see theres lots of threads for crashing, its very difficult to see if anyuone else has this problem so heres my own thread!

Ive got to a certain point (many hours of playing) where I cant pass without it kicking me back to windows.
Even if I go back some saves, try to do other things, change settings etc, it will ALWAYS kick me to desktop when I reach 24th Jan 1912 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

I can start a new game and its fine, but I dont wanna start from scratch I was doing well!

Any idea if there's gonna be a patch soon? hoping one will fix it.

I doubt anyone here knows anything about an upcoming patch, seeing as this ain't Firaxis.

But - ridiculous idea, I know - someone can help you out with a hint or workaround if you just would tell us what exactly the "certain point" is where you get the crash to desktop?

Well I cant know, it could be another ship doing something that causes it to crash.
I tried going to port, going to land, sailing various directions, having a ship to ship fight between my save and the crash. i even tried tried keeping it paused for ages, it dont crash then, so its something happening in the game, but it could be anything. Could be a ship elsewhere on the map is trying to do something the game dont like or something, dont see how I could get around it.
thx for suggestion idea tho.
Looks like ill have to start again, then again ill do better next time so thats a good thing <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Ahhh, did you actually mean to type >>>1912<<<. Are you actually lasting over 230 game years in Pirates?

haha no, 1612 or what ever century u start in, 12 years of play.
I gone on to other games now cos it was frustrating, and dont have enough free time anyway to play for that many years game time! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Well, for what its worth, I have never experienced any problems with the game. I am sorry it frustrated you so much you decided to move on. Perhaps soon you will return to playing Pirates and someone will of figured out what is causing you to be kicked.
