Pirate Spirit Crew's Captain
<b>Jol, Cornelis Corneliszoon - Dutch - 1626/1641</b>
Cornelis Corneliszoon Jol, aka PIE DE PALO (wooden leg), was a Dutch pirate.
His favorite lair was on Curaçao (dutch colony since Jan Walbeeck and Pierre le Grand toke it).
PIE DE PALO toke Santiago de Cuba in 3 August 1635:
He hoisted the Spanish flag and disguize his crew in Spanish religious.
Thanks to this famous trick, he entered in the harbor.
After two days of battle and many booties, he sacked the ships and the city and sailed away.
The others expeditions for the Spanish's gold failed.
And he was killed in 1641 while he attacked Sao Tomé in Africa.
