jack sparrow quest problem

The Bartolomeu storyline is supposed to be the most playable at this moment.
For the Jack Sparrow storyline we do have some fixes to make it fully playable, but those are not all released just yet.
The standard storyline has a block when you get to the fort capture, though I do have a workaround for that which theoretically should work.
The other storylines only have a beginning, but don't really lead anywhere yet.

What I think your problem might be is you have another Pirates of the Caribbean installed on your computer which has an older version of the build mod (when we had this problem)
I think this is the case because of the fact you still have the saves.

Easy way to check is right click on your shortcut: click properties and then find target and see where it takes you (and hopefully it gives you a new location)

GOOD idea! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Damn I allready uninstalled the game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> . I'll try doing that once I install everything again...

Do you still HAVE that shortcut? If not, make sure you check all folders where you ever installed the game and remove them ALL.

No after I un-install it asks me to restart. After doing so, the PotC icon is removed from the desktop. I searched my computer for any files and folders containing 'pirate' or 'carribean' or 'bethesda' etc and actually DID find some other folder that even had the save games from the first time I played on this computer. Deleted all of that...

That sounds promising. Should avoid a lot of confusion. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

It works finally! Thank you all for your help, but I have a question. When you talk to Pedros for the first time, what are you supposed to do afterwards (I understood I had to go free someone but where)? I can't read my quest book because it hasnt updated after the conversation (last thing it says in the 'Brotherhood' quest is I have to land at Anse Casse-Bois and go find Pedros at a plantation)

But is it normal that the quest book doesnt update at all?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I did do some questbook fixes but havn't played that part of the storyline for awhile so probably did not notice it...

I will play the multiple storylines (when I have time)

Uhm... it should update as far as I'm aware. I'm not sure if there's a problem preventing that or if it's a random fluke that applies just to you. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
I'm hoping Short Jack Gold or Captain Maggee might be able to confirm.

Well it didnt update since I went to find Pedros for the first time, so i'm kind of stuck at the part where I am on Barbados, after talking to Annamaria (found her at the lighthouse but wasnt mentioned in quest book) and I have to find someone (forgot the name, Kell maybe?).

EDIT: Btw, do we still need that guy on Nevis (how could I forget his name: Clint Eastwood), because if we dont, I should kill him to take the awesome 20th century sawn-off shotgun he carries <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I can confirm that..i have played J.Sparrow all the way through and after anne casse bios it doesnt update...thats why i had 2 keep asking 4 help lol...

it's same for me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)

Oh and where is Nathan Kell exactly? Cant seem to find him <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

We'll have to checkt he questbook then. In the meantime, all text that's supposed to end up in the questbook entries can be found in:
RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\ENGLISH\Storyline\LegendJackSparrow\QUESTBOOK

Indeed there isn't anything in the questbook files about Nathan Kell. According to the code, he's supposed to be in Bridgetown town.
Be careful with how you get there. Judging by the code (I never played that far), there's some characters about you might not want to run into. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Yeah like the guy that hired you to work for the EITC, waiting to hang you, but still, i've only found Captain Damsky or something in the church, telling me again, like Annamaria, Kell has a room somewhere in Bridgetown...
