was wondering if there was a way to have the distance to the ship (the info you see after you put the telescope down from viewing a ship in the distance) show the distance to the target ship while still in the telescope view as opposed to showing it after , would help in viewing mutliple ships and getting an idea on whitch one is gaining speed on you or whatever, instead of havin to put the scope down after you look at each ship

mehrunes has already done the code for this, so it's just a question of including it in build 12 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

It's already in the latest v11, btw... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

oh really, i thought i was running b 11 already, an it still shows the distance after the scope is down could you please tell me how to implement it anyways -thnks

-oh, i think i see what you're saying, that its in the latest build 11 VERSION, so i probably have an earlier version of the build 11, well, i've made so many of my own adjustments, an such that it would be much more work to update to the latest version, then to try n implement it on my own, sorry to bug, but please tell me where to edit n make the changes so i won't have to update n redo all those things again thnks again

google winmerge.
And thank scheffnow once you've tried it. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Oh, ya, sorry. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />
I mean, winmerge should help in general keeping more than one codebase up to date; but re: spyglass _specifically: all you need do is copy the new ispyglass.c file over from the latest update (install that to an empty directory so you don't overwrite; check only online update so you don't get all the normal files).
That should do it.
