Inversed textures

Zozogh2

Landlubber
hello, I was zozogh in the before forum <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />

I have a problem with the tool, I have created a location that I saved in .gm
But now my location have the texture at the exterior not in the interior! How to inverse texture ? Is it possible in the tool ?

I'm not sure, but I think it has to be done before converting gm to vrml (or before converting vrml back to gm).
By "inversed" you mean the models look "hollow", with the texture inside, right? That's what I made that checkbox for.

Ok we must check "reverse normal" when we open the vrml not the gm, thank <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/william.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":will" border="0" alt="william.gif" />

Hello Catalina <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sailr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":sail" border="0" alt="sailr.gif" />

Inez
Now I have an other problem, with the path, it is possible to supress face ?
Please

Sorry I don't understnad your question. Suppress face ? And what path are you talking about ?

You can make holes in the patch by double-clicking a point, and then draw the edges apart (click a point a draw the mouse) but you can't delete triangles <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Sorry, again I don't understand. Are you still talking about the patch ? And what do you mean by direction?

I talk about locator, when a character is on a point he look in certain direction, and my gard look at the direction of the wall .That not very good .How to change this direction?

Is that a locator you put in yourself or copied from another model ?
In the View/Locators menu you get a number representation of the locators. You could change the direction by manipulating those numbers. (Try to put a minus sign in front of each of the xx, xy, xz and zx, zy, zz values (but not yx, yy, yz) - or if one is there, remove it.) Then see what happens.

That is very hard, I tried to change number for my locator, but it turn only a litle my character and I don't know how I have done that <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
That very hard ...

I found !! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> thank Inez now my locator are looking in the good direction ! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

But I have always a lot of problem ...
- My patch is too much down and it doesn't work perfectly <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />
- The camera go through the wall.

And, and that 's all for the moment <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

For the camera you have to move the camera locator.
Moving the patch higher is something that currently can't be done - some more people asked for that feature, but I was distracted with other projects. However it's still on my list. Do you need *all* points higher a fixed amount (that would be comparably easy) or do you have different heights in your location ?

OK, I uploaded a new version for you. It's on <a href="http://home.arcor.de/swigard/Downloads/TOOL/" target="_blank">my homepage</a> as usual.
In the Patch window it has now (on the lower right) a textbox for an offset and a button. Enter a number in the textbox by how much you need the patch to be higher (in meters) and then click the button. A messagebox will remind you to save the patch afterwwards. Rename the new patch (_x is appended to the filename) to the old name and you're set.
And please let me know if it works.
