OP, Are you a mod for Imperial Glory? Only Ive seen your name in several readme files. Do you use the DT editor?

Yes I made a some mods a few years ago. I never figured out the DT editor, all I did was mostly cosmetic stuff and a some config files.

Have you used the new Dt editor with the interface? It's easy cos the 'combate.file ' is auto-loaded an all you have to do then is change the values to what you want the units to be!

No I have not, I have not played the game in many months, nor I have I made any new mods.

wow; that ships lovely. Is that an available mod? I havnt had much luck with the US mod; only changed the field flags for France and thats pretty much it. Those Marmelukes are lovely. So are the stars of David on the French flags. Good work!



Just one quick question; How do you change texture files? is it literally just an 'open and edit' scenario? Ive made sound effects for IG (I.e, the grenadier march and a ferw voice files) but havnt dared touch the visuals.

the editor allows you to change unit sizes, speed, agility, strength. charge capabilities; range, erverything really to do with the units. Its pretty fun actually setting it to '1' and only having one cavalry fight it out with lots of infantry.

And yeah it is that straight forward, the files I believe are in .dds format which for simplicity sake, I converted to .bmp, made my changes and changed it back to .dds.

As for the mods, they should be here <a href="http://www.tafn.info/phpscripts/filesdb/files.php?cat=6" target="_blank">http://www.tafn.info/phpscripts/filesdb/files.php?cat=6</a> although some might be missing or have broken links, if so just report it to one of the webmasters. The site has been neglected for a while so hopefully you'll have no problems finding what you want.

There were at least three US mods if I recall, one added some flags, the other ships and different crews (hardly noticeable unless you zoomed up close) and soldiers/cavalry. All of them over wrote the French since it was not possible to add a new faction to the game.

The link to the ships might be broken unfortunately, as I recall spotting it, fixing the mod but then I never got around to uploading it. If you did deep into that website, you'll find re skins of English, French, Spanish, Papal, Polish and American soldiers, and somewhere you'll find one or two new skins for the Turks and those Marmelukes. Not to mention sound effects, music, some visual/game play changes like when being able to marry when you have a dictatorship, new historical battles and artillery officers.

It might come down to downloading everything and sorting it all out since some things are mixed in with others, just take the things you like and put them in your game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />)

It should hold you over till ETW comes out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/readon.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="readon.gif" />
