ITS REALLY ANNOYING!

for captain tom and booty:
do you have any ideas on how it would be possible to fix this error or maybe have a suggestion on where i could start?

THANK YOU

I know way too little to help you; I can merely direct you to topics I remember that could help you out :/
But the real modders will help you soon <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

And DartZ, please go easy on the caps, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU SHOUT

sry bout the caps my finger always hits the caps look instead of the shift...unfortunatly i cant do anything now...i was forced to uninstall the game sadly....im going to reinstall it and hopefully ill look around for a much easier way to do it...i may have installed the builds in a wrong order which may of caused it to go haywire....im not sure

I'm having a similar error, I think I did install them out of order. I'm trying to see what works right now. I haven't done this in so long, it's taking awhile to remember how I got it to work before.

i am almost finished in reinstalling the game....im curious if there is an easier way to start of witht he black pearl then having to go through all those steps.....?

Certainly! With the Filmships Mod, you can change some settings to buy the Pearl in (pirate) shipyards! Aye!
edit: but I think Pieter said that, in the next stable build, this will be disabled: Black Pearls shouldn't be sold <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

<b>For Build 13:</b>
1) Install Build 13 Final
2) Install FilmShips mod for Build 13
3) Start a new game
4) You can set the ships at starting ship in PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h or open PROGRAM\SHIPS\ships_init.c and set refShip.CanBuy = true to enable buying them

<b>For Build 14 Alpha 6:</b>
1) Install Build 13 Final
2) Install Build 14 Alpha 6
3) Install Build 14 Alpha 6 Update 2
4) Start a new game
5) You can buy the ships from shipyards; most ships are available from pirate shipyards only

All required downloads can be find through the link in my signature.

To get rid of all these Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman problems in the future, I have now added a new mod to the Build 14 Alpha 8 WIP game version, which allows you to buy unavailable quest ships, such as the Pearl and the Dutchman, from a special "shipyard" which is run by the old Captain Vanderdecken, who now lives in the abandoned Buccaneer Camp at Hispaniola. These ships come at a hefty price though, but you <i>will</i> be able to get them without having to do any messing with the code.
