Ahhh, I get it now! That's pretty much sums it up -- NPC's, ships, quests, dialogues, fighting -- all of that needs to be "more interesting". 2 months and counting. "Надеждата умира последна" in bulgarian <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> . I think this game is like 50-60% done, there is a bank and church but they are locked, there is inland, but its locked too. Haven't tried running MP cuz Internet mode isn't working(i don't think there are even servers set up for that), i'm not on a LAN any more so thats out of the way too. As for the NPCs and quests:
1.Go get that guy back here.
2.Transport that guy to there.
3.Escort a ship here.
That ware all the types of mission i've played, NPCs are simply useless, if they don't tell you how to do something(like "basic ship control", "basic sword fighting") they will want you to deliver slaves to the island they are on, or they will want you to escort they're ship to somewhere.
I really don't know why Akella don't make a REAL sequel to SD, just add what the original got:
1.6 classes of ships.
2.Ship class limit (if you don't have a big enough rank, you can't control that class of ship(s)).
3.Made up world map(well they can make the real carribean if they want but i preffer made up cuz u don't know where there can be a hidden city or camp).
4.Interesting story that is not forcing the player(like in PotC) to go do that right after you have the quest and it should realy be more non-linear of type(chose your own future, not be stuck with the english like in PotC in order to finish the game).
5.Simple but entertaning sword fights(AOP actualy has a good type of sword fighting but the "block all hits" type of defence is stupid).
6.No fast travel in cities cuz people will forget they can travel by foot and after time the game gets boring of just sailing and FAST traveling around a city.
These are the things i like in SeaDogs and which i think made it a real classic it is for the pirate community and me(i have 2 backups of the game, one on a PLEXTOR(Taiyo Yuden) disc and one on a Ricoh) and PotC has NONE and won't have any, Corsairs3 isn't installed anymore and the disc is on my shelf... cathing dust.
