How to setup gm_viewer tool

Hi,

What are the directories I should use for characters? Really, I tried several..I can see shipmodels and islands just fine, but not the chars..

What I mean is: I dont know in what directories the texture and lightning files for viewing characters in gm_viewer are located.

Any directory need to be set for lightning?

Peter,

Lighting....no,not for characters

I think Pieter Boelen had this problem of not being able to view characters a while ago. Don't know how he solved it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Try reinstalling GM viewer.

That assumes that the game is installed in the default directory. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Otherwise:
[PotC install directory]\RESOURCE\Models\Characters
[PotC install directory]\RESOURCE\Textures\Characters

For example, I've put the game in C:\Program Files\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean so I have gm_viewer look for the models in
C:\Program Files\Games\Pirates of the Caribbean\RESOURCE\Models\Characters

Hey there, I have the same problem. I can see the model, but when I select the texture directory, the texture can't be seen.

you've to select textures directory before models. It should work!

Can you see the textures on the ships and locations when selecting the right folders?
If so, you probably have the same problem as I do.
Texures don't show on characters; I never did fix the problem. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
