How many CD's in the Limited Edition DVD?

I bought the game on the 23rd and it came with only 1 DVD. I can't find all this extra stuff on the `DVD-ROM` that it claims to have ( original game, exclusive content, etc).

Also when I do play, the characters don't seem to talk, they only mumble out small phrases, and when they do, it's in a different language.

- The DVD contains everything, there are no other discs with the Limited Edition. To many, that's sort of the point... they want it all on one disc rather than have the entire game spread across multiple discs (`Half-Life` 2... grumble)

- I haven't noticed if there's an "Extras" option on the Pirates! menu or not, but you can find all of the additional content in the appropriately named "Extras" folder on the DVD. Just open it up with My Computer, Windows Explorer, etc.

- The characters all "speak" in a `Sims-like` gibberish. It's an artistic choice of the developer. I imagine they saved a bundle not having to hire voice actors <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

The other thing is that it allows you to record your voice overs one time and it can be long before the game goes gold and it doesn't matter if the text changes part way through development, since it does not actually say anything.

There are no menus for the special edition stuff. Just the making of video. They should have put a browse thing for it or something. Not real intuitive for the tech challenged.

Not just that, but they wanted to keep everything fairly open to the imagination. I do admit though, no matter what town I am in --- the governor looks Frenchy! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blah:" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

There are no <b>CDs</b> with the <b>DVD</b>-ROM edition.

Hm, my limited german edition has got:
2 cds
1 dvd.

AND IT is NOT multilingual !!!! Grrrr.

The extra stuff is on the DVD. Read the readme file. It explains how to copy the stuff over your game files.

I got the LE with only one DVD as well. But everything is on the DVD. The old pirates game and the addin stuff.

so does the limited edition work for u guys?? i have the regular edition and it has problems. whenever i play it it freezes after i like try to attack a ship or go to an island or city and ten afetr it freezes it restarts the whole cpu. i have set all the video and audio settings to max and i have tried playing the game with the ethernet cable unplugged and it doesnt help much. so i want to know if the limited edition works fine for all u guys.
