Hi.

I would consider it a privellege to undertake an extensive testing of this possible new aspect to gameplay.

Bare in mind that I am not even a begginer modder, so I know nothing about this kind of thing, but I have an near infinite supply of spare hours and days at my disposal so if anyone gan give me a general guideline I would be more than willing to test this for you.

And on an unrelated note: I just became a Great Uncle! ^^

if petros is right, that might partially be the cause for that overfilled cargo hold, although that connection seems a bit unlikely to me.

and congrats! if you'd be interested in modding music, i'd be happy to help.

We might've been a bit too enthusiastic with disabeling bombs when the Real Cannons mod on. I think we indeed need to change those instances you mentioned so that bombs can be seen in the cargo hold and transferred as usual once you finally managed to get them. I expect no problematic issues arising from doing this.

Heya guys, I know there's a bug forum but I'm not sure if the situation I ran into is a bug or a glitch.

In the Silehard quest where you have to Deliver a letter to the Pirate Chief, if you have a very bad rep with the Pirates (or done something to make them kill you every time you go to one of thier islands) then you can't actually deliver the letter to him without phasing through the wall to force his sword away and then talking to him.

I apologise if this has been addressed already and if this should be in the bug section. But I just wanna help out. =]

Don't know about that one. I never figured out why that happened and especially not how to counter or restore it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Search for RAR file program from a google ..there's a trial version of it downloadable somewhere and trust me that you CAN actually use it forever. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

If one has "realistic cannon" on and does not change the InitGoods.c file, then you only see a dim faded icon for Bombs, and not at all while trading.
Those icons appear for all the other trade goods in the game as well, along with the button to get info on them.
That is not a bad thing IMHO.

I just threw that out as a remote possibility that relies on many "If"s.

1. The cargo overruns creat crashes sometimes right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
(personally with Pre13 I had seen negative cargo many times without any crashes)

2. In Pre13 I had seen ships using bombs while I had realistic cannon on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
(haven't seen it in B13 Final, but then again, I haven't played that much)

3. If you capture a ship and select "take all cargo" might you get invisible cargo? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

4. Bombs are invisible cargo.

Just random thoughts everyone ... continue with what you're doing. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" />

4. Bombs are invisible cargo.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->With the bombs being re-enabled as visible cargo by your commenting out of the REAL_CANNONS bombs lines, you should be able to see whether ships really do carry bombs or not. I think random ships would never carry bombs, because if they'd carry them, they'd probably use them as well. Also: I managed to get the midnight crash bug after performing an auto buy on a Gunboat. Auto buy does not buy bombs if the REAL_CANNONS mod is off, so at least in that particular case the problem was not related to bombs. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

They did.

How I know is that on more than one occasion, I was able to use spyglass info screen to see that ships were loading bombs.

Remember this was Pre 13, not sure if it happens now.

In that case I would be MOST interested to know if they still do that. That would rather go against the whole removing bombs in the Real Cannons mod. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Hey guys, I'm not sure if any of you have encountered a bug where the game doesn't let you go into the next day without crashing, but if you have I've come up with a temporary solution unless you guys have already fixed it in the next build.

Crash on the worldmap on the changing of the day? Please check your cargo hold. We seem to have found out that this happens when somehow you have gotten more cargo than you can hold. What ship are you using? Have you done anything with cargo recently? A cargo transport mission or something like that?

Wow, gonna try to answer those in order... xD

1) Yes it is a crash on the worldmap, however it occurs after 2-3 seconds of time passes, not always moving into the next day. Whenever this occurs trying to move into the next day by sleeping in a tavern also crashes it.

2) My cargo is not full of above the cargo limit.

3) A French Design Battleship.

4) No, no transfers, no cargo missions.

This is not the first time I've encountered this, the first time it occured randomly, the second time it occured after I had completed the story line and captured the Black Pearl, but it only occured in those circumstances when the player engaged in a world map battle with pirates. And this time it seemed to have been triggered by a string of Pirate Hunting missions on Redmond, (before the end of the main story line.)

Hope that sheds some light on the situation. =P

And sorry if this is old.
