There's anyway to improve the graphics? I mean, i'm already using ENB, but seems terrible compared to the screenshots in the forum. I have quite a computer, so anyone have an idea how to improve the graphics?
 
Can you show a screenshot of your own? Just so we have an idea of how "terrible" it looks for you?
The only thing I could think of is the Intel affair, but I'd have to see to be sure.
 
The best thing to do is to set up a POTC profile in your video card control panel, and then set everything to the max and then back off until you get playable frame rates.

It's not "terrible" at all. The water, and some other stuff are ok, but there're some issues that i didn't see in other people screenshots

I don't see anything wrong with that ship there.

Water going through the port isn't quite intentional, but could happen if the island model and the MaxSeaHeight don't quite match properly.
Can't remember seeing it myself before though; not in 3D sailing mode anyway. But I hardly play and didn't pay much attention.
 
That brig is one of the original ships from 2003 that has been mildly updated. Welcome to old DX8 graphics.
 
There are other better looking ships of about the same size. With over 200 ships to choose from you could easily find a more detailed ship, like the Neptunus, Postillionen, Arcadia, etc.

Yeah, i'm having a similar problem with ships too, i almost only find 2003 ships.

Well, i currently play Hawk and Sparrow storyline. The shipyards, contain only 5 ships maximum and 3 of then are 2003 ships. Fleets of 4 ships 2 of them are 2003. Seems that only brigs can be found as smaller ships.(Brigs of the screenshot up ahead)
 
Shipyards generally have 1-9 ships in them with the smaller ones being most common.

Consider: It takes 6-18 months to create a ship. So it is common for the modelers to want to build something "memorable".
In the last 3 years the modelers have built:

warships
1st rates
2nd rates
3rd rates
4th rates
5th rate frigates
6th rate frigates
6th rate sloop of war

merchants
class 6 fluyt
class 6 pinnace
class 8 hoy
class 8 tartane

So the luggers, sloops, and brigs are all old models. You might want to look for the 6th rate frigates and sloop of war as they are some nice ships. I have a 6th rate frigate as my escort ship.

Yeah, i know how long takes to build a vessel, but the thing is, where can i found good vessels.
 
Sold from shipyards in the larger towns? Capturing might be a better bet though.
Just be a pirate and take what you like! :whipa
 
They're out there. Rare on purpose though, because the Caribbean historically didn't crawl with them.
There are certain encounters deliberately including tier 4-1 ships though.
