I hope you all are doing well

My name is Alexandros, I'm from Madrid (Spain) and I love the sail ships period between 1500-1800. Indeed, I studied a degree in History, I took my internship in the Naval Musseum of Madrid, and I am considering specialising in Spanish Navy History.

I am posting this because I think you are doing a great job with the game and I would like to contribute for its development. When I was finishing my Degree, I volunteered in “Games Labs” (Naval Action) and helped them by providing information about spanish ships, and citie's maps. Currently, I can access to information from Spanish Armada Museum and its historical files, so if you have any question or need some help, I will very happily give you a hand

Yep, if you mean to help on Hearts of Oak or New Horizons remastered, then I am sorry to inform you they are abandoned.
Now the New Horizons mod is still being developed though.

It's indeed mainly ye olde New Horizons these days.

great to hear that you combine your historical knowledge with computergraphic visualization too. Indeed, the border becomes very small what a game is and what an scientific visualization - but thats a huge advantage.

Regarding Spanish history I am currently still interested in more references of the Spanish Treasure Fleet. In my hobby time I am still working at european gun patterns and treasure content for my CryEngine tech-project "Drakes lost treasure". As far as possible I bought books about coins and ingots but still miss more information about its design, markings and its transport containers. If you have an idea it will be very great!

Regarding guns it will be great if you have hints about books of Spanish gun patterns (its mathematical proportions).

I own the book written by Diego Ufano (guns) and "Treasure Of The Atocha" by Mel Fisher.Unfortunately there are not much good scientific books out there.

Well, Right now is difficult to me, visit the naval musseum. We are on status alert so we can't go out until 10th May. So if you are not in a hurry with the information, I will try to find more information about Spanish treasure.

MMM......I think that I have a book about the Spanish Treasure Galleons, I take a look today.

Thank you very much for your reply. Please do not stress with my question. I just used the chance to ask a native Spain with an historic degree. Regarding guns and treasure content its a huge difference in common and scientific sources. Those recordings uses more than a few pics and "BlingBling". There are weights, identification numbers, dimensions etc. pp. I have rarely seen in books.

I don't know much about the history of artillery. I can tell you that by the 17th century, many of the cannons for Spanish ships were produced in the Royal Artillery Factory of La Cavada. And that many of the master gunners and gunmakers were foreign professionals, French, italian or German.

Sorry for not write you in this months but was a little difficult to come back home. I was reading the book abourt spanish treasure fleet, but it´s so simple, and not talk about you want to know, but along this weeks I will try to go to the museum to get more information.

About that, you want the specifications, not the visual style right?
