Getting Interceptor into the game

the Interceptor is actualy a two masted brig and if you have the first PotC movie you can see the Black Pearl and the Interceptor in one sequence i have the movie but idont know how to make a screenshot
p.s. sory for my bad english <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

The rigging shown in the screenshot is only temporary. Kazeite put the Barque rigging on there, because he simply hasn't made the proper Interceptor rigging yet. Don't worry: It will be done. She will be two-masted. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

well some wrote that its a barque and i wanted to correct him <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Kazeite made the Interceptor resemble a barque so that he can use the Barque's collision information. But she will be a brig. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ahh the interceptor, just need the dauntless (possibly just a re texture of a current manowar?), Edinburgh trader (if the DMC quest ever pops up) and maybe even the empress (it would be great if someone could create a Chinese junk as some stage <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />)

When the Interceptor becomes a brig, will she be resized? because the brigs already in game are tiny compared to the pearl

Hers a couple of pics if anyone needs help with a realistic size

Somewhat amusingly, PotC movies also used brig <i>Unicorn</i> for background ships. And thus, despite quite obviously having only two masts, it is quite often labeled as the ship which played the <i>Black Pearl</i>. So is <i>Bounty</i>, actually... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

arrr, je beat me to it jezus! anyway, i didn't have the first of the two. i fear that the barque would be way too small in comparison to the pearl.

aye it would be, but saying that, when you look at the pics, its pretty clear that you would need to use a ship model that has a height a little lower than the Pearls main deck, and much lower than the Pearls stern

if using a brig, the height seems almost right but is still a bit too low, so how about raising the ship height using

refShip.WaterLine = 0.1

and changing it to, say, 1.0?

Aye ..Schooner is the fastest ship for sure unless someone contradicts that too! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />

schooners should be fast. so i think the interceptor's and pearl's speed should be raised. although it would be far harder to capture the pearl that way. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

i have a suspicion that the ship would look REALLY wierd if you'd increase the waterline that much. but why not?

I have a suspicion that the Pearl and Interceptor sailing really quickly would look rather odd. I can't imagine such a ship truly be the fastest ship in the entire Caribbean. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I agree.

Perhaps the film dialogue was really meant to convey the idea, Fastest ship "of it's class" in the Caribbean.

that would probably be a better definition, yes. i think the quest dialogue should make that more clear so we won't get all kinds of users in the future complaining about the interceptor not being the fastest ship in the caribbean. so, it should be faster than any other brig, right?

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i like the model!.. is it really that blue?
doesnt matter, i like the model! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Perhaps even "faster than any other dedicated Warship", if we assume that for this time period, sloops and schooners are merchant ships, and only become warships after refitting.

I agree with Petros! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

And Black Pearl is even more "faster than any other dedicated Warship", no wonder why Cpt. Jack Sparrow started to see it as freedom when it was still Wicked Wench. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

petros, you've just sprouted me an idea:

what if in the ealier eras we've been talking about, schooners would have half the cannons? like REALLY being merchants? on the other hand, schooners didn't excist in the earlier eras yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

maybe 'faster than any warship' would be slightly better. although maybe less honorably sounding, 'dedicated' just makes the discription a bit too long. but what the heck, it doesn't really matter. either way, any of the two would be better. good thinking!
