you need a program called cpu killer ( no its not permanent ) then set your cpu to about 200 or so and then play it,

The only problem is, the version downloadable in that link is some sort of evaluation vrsion, it stops working after thirty minutes.

There's a thing called dosbox that I run pirates from, I don't have a link for it, though.

Is there any way to get that to work without an operating system running? My version or Pirates is just a boot disk.

In Fact, Pirates is suppoted in Dosbox, but I recommend to play the Amiga Version of the original Pirates with WinUAE ( www.winuae.net ) WinUAE is an emulating program to run Amiga Games on your PC.

I recommend it, because I think the Amiga Version of the original Pirates is better then the PC Version..
