Game Crashes

The game usually crashes anywhere from 2-5 mins after I get in. The settings I put it on don't matter. I've tried setting everything to nothing, disabling shaders, starting in safe mode, about everything in the settings really. I've ran this game before on this computer about a year ago, but it just will not work now.

I'm running with 2.93 ghz, 1.5 gig RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6200 OC. I have all the updated drivers, DirectX, everything. My problem occurs when I'm sailing or sometimes trying to get into a town. It's never occured in the Taverns or talking with the Governor. Like I've said, I've tried moving the settings around 15-20 different ways, I've tried reinstalling, and I've tried running in Safe Mode. None of those worked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
guessing here, but first try setting all options to the minimum

then while they are still at minimum

try taking your computer's case/cover off.

If the first works . . .

If the second works, you have a heat problem.

The heat could be because of the video card
or because of the power supply (trying to feed the video card)
