French questline help!

I got my letter of marque from a pirate settlement, then I did the 2 first questline missions for the governor in tortuga, then I went to CoAS to make that questline, then I lost my Corsaire title, I still have my letter of marque but when I talk to the general governor he says he doesnt know me.

In the CoAS, the letter of marque is "removed".
After the CoAS, use F2-> Items, go in the letter of marque and click "Equipe Item".

Normally no, only in this situation, because it was removed in the CoAS.
