I am not at home at the moment, so thanks a lot for posting that video; otherwise I would have needed to wait a whole lot longer to see it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

That looks absolutely awesome! How the HECK did you do that??? It looks VERY realistic. I am greatly looking forward to trying this ingame! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

BTW: On the video, I had the feeling that the cannon flash looked a bit large somtimes, but other times it is almost completely hidden by smoke. I haven't seen how it looks ingame, so I don't really know if this <i>is</i> the case, but if it is, you might want to try and do something about it.
Anyway: This is an awesome job and a major improvement over how it works at the moment. Thank you ever so much! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

<!--coloro:#FF0000--><span style="color:#FF0000"><!--/coloro-->Edit:<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> I wonder if it would be possible to make the cannon_fire texture have a shape like in the attached picture (that I very quickly whipped up in Paint) instead of having a round shaped flash. That might look even better, if it works. Just a suggestion. Feel free to forget about this suggestion if you think it works fine the way it is. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

(The black part in the picture is the cannon, the red part is the fire coming out of it. As you can see, the fire is a long flash, instead of a round flash)

thanks pieter, as a matter of fact i was actually considering that, but i havent had much luck so far with an elongeated flash
As you stated about the flash, it was tricky buisness, i needed to try a balance of what looked good there. theres also the fact that we havent been able to implement lighting at sea ...yet wich also contributed to me deciding to make it a little bit larger.
EDIT: ok i tweaked the size down a little bit <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
