i have another problem but it doesnt have to do with any ships this time....every 15 minutes or so the game just shuts off out of no where...i have no idea why. it has been doing it more frequently then often....does it have to do with build 13 final?it changed the files so the i started with the black pearl and it works fine but could that be it?

well, i've had it happen with other games myself. if i where you i'd just experiment a bit yourself. although maybe someone else knows.

Try this.
Open the POTC\Program\WorldMap\Worlsmap.c file.

Make sure the:<!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1-->#define MAPSPEED<!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
is set to 1.0 .


Morgan, you might want to add this to the first post as well.
 
but im afraid that if i experiment with the files too much it could get worse...
my main concern is being able to have the black pearl and flying dutchman in the game without using build 13 final...
im uninstalling the game...again to see if it is possible....
 
Other things that should be added are questions about sidestepping (Yes, we KNOW you can sidestep through walls!) and the BuildingSet (if you don't like it, turn it OFF!). Also perhaps the "no save" monks (you <i>can</i> just let them walk around without talking to them, you know?) and comments like "<b>***</b> doesn't look exactly like it did in the film" (at least you've got something that looks a bit like it did in the film instead of not having it at all). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

I must admit I am beginning to get just a little bit annoyed at addressing the same complaints over and over again. Especially dozens of times within a couple of days. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

how can i change wat people think about me?

everywhere i go people hate me...even in Quebradas Costillas which is the only good pirate port i can go to...i need to sell my goods but everyone is either scared of me or hates me....any ideas?

Try and raise your reputation. Talk to people, do the respectable thing, help damsels in distress in the jungle, rescue sailors in the water after their ship sank, etc.

Some thoughts:
You rep goes down when:

You failed to pay off a loan from the loan shark <b><u>"on time"</u></b>.
You failed to deliver cargo <b><u>"on time"</u></b>.
You hit or killed civilians or merchants.
Your landing party and/or officers hurt or killed a civilian. Note, this can happen even at a distance if your officers use guns.
 
i truly don't understand why people keep asking that. if you're hated, you where bad, if you want to be loved, be good! it's that simple! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
 
I do think it is also the things one does not expect, or have not noticed happening, that lead them to wonder "What happened?" .

I think of officers shooting civilians. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> Stupid officers!
 
yeah, i know from experience that you can often trash your reputation quite easily. but it should be pretty obvious how to get it back up.
 
thats exactly what i tried to do Pieter however whereever i go everyone hates me

Quebradas Costillas:everyone hates me and the store owner wont talk to me...everyone wants to kill me

Tortuga:i would go there but when i try to leave i go to the end of the dock but i fall in!...its really weird i cant leave the island if the dock is messed up

Redmond:the people are nice to me until i talk to someone..the store,shipyard,tavern all the owners wont help me


and everywhere else i go the forts all kill me....my endeavor is all filled with cargo that im not ale to sell which isnt good.....
anyone i talk to they hate me...everywhere i go they hate me....i destroy enemy ships and win many battles and grow levels but my rep still stays as....Horror of the High Seas
 
um.. are you actually falling through the docks or off the end? it takes time to raise your reputation. each level of rep. is something like 20 or 30 points. just keep rescuing those shipwreck survivors and you should be fine.
