Fallout 3

Cylon13

Super Zealot
I've decided to get this game now. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> So how many things there are that need to have a mod duck tape? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> And by the way I don't really give a [censored] ..I'd start playing that game with mods right away. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I don't want my weapons and armors to break. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> Especially the armors. And I'd like to walk in a iron man's hulk buster armor that looks like T-51b power armor.. meaning that my power armor MUST be bullet-proof, fire-proof, cold-proof, lightining-proof, raw power proof, mutant-proof, radiation-proof, blast-proof, nuke-proof.. well, you get the picture. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> Hey.. that gives me idea of indeed making me own mod of inpenetrable power armor. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> Then I don't have to make my character to have god mode on.. then it would feel more like a iron man thing. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Hey, I know that you can turn god mode on. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ok. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> ..wait, pink? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Nah, methinks I'll pull this off just fine with making that t-51b a inpenetrable power armor. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> Right now I just need that darn download to finish to get the game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Why? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Godlike

Pink Kitty Armor
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

OK.....I asked for that <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

That thing just looks.. wrong.. very wrong. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I second, third, fourth, and fifth that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sick.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eww" border="0" alt="sick.gif" />

This thread is supposed to be about Fallout 3.. and not about some power armor abomination that has pink color and.. and, wtf? There's heart on the groin. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Anyways.. methinks that if I am going to try that cheating item.. I'm gonna at least swap that armor model with T-51b one and replace the textures with a cool brotherhood of steel's T-51b armor texture. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> And mind you.. If I don't find a way to mod.. I can at least do jack shit. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

and the #1 god armor mod has a heart on the groin

At times it's hard to get yer meaning. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> But anyways.. I got the game and played it.. guess what? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Well, first of all I should name the bad things: Small world, Not enough deserts/wastelands, third-person camera position, No useable vehicles, VATS makes the game lagging hard sometimes but gladly has happend about 3-4 times (don't really know the cause for that), No dynamic shadows (But this thing can be forgiven this time somehow), I found one house and a restroom where my game froze so bad that I had to shut down my rig (wasn't able to minimize the game) and later go into those two places in windowed mode (to end task my game if freezing happens), men in power armors should walk and run masculine and patriotically and also animations need to be adjusted for power armors so that there's less things going throught each other (e.g part of arm muscle area), also power armor helmets need to be smaller.. especially the T-51b helmet that one pretty much matched with the head of the wearer in Fallout 1 and 2.. example:

<img src="http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/d/de/Tribal_PA_helmet.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

And here's Fallout 3 broken tribal T-51b helmet (a mod for Fallout 3):

<img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y209/Grizzly0/TribalT51b.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />

It needs to be thinner and smaller. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Apart from those buggers.. I find the game itself much more fun than Fallout 1 and 2, I recently found and got that armored 101 vault suit.. that suit is very similar to the armored suit you see in Fallout 1's ending (that armor is the first non-power armor that I like, all others look weak or a total garbage so far in Fallout 3). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> Combat is.. just f**kin' awesome! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> There's heads flying off, There's heads blowing off, there's legs and arms flying off and blood splattering everywhere. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> If there's somebody pissing you off you can make your day by blowing off his head with a shotgun. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> I did that with that bastard who planned to blow up Megaton city. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> Hey who do you think I am? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I'm not going to blow up a whore and a lass with a pretty face! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> I'd blow up Enclave with a nuke. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Not sure about black humor but there was a funny line with that ghoul in the Megaton's bar/saloon where he said something that I don't recall exactly but it ended with something like "me looking like a corpse". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> T-51b armor itself looks pretty ok to me.. it looks even better than Fallout 1 and 2's power armor because it looks realistic (No metallic human muscels showing.. instead those arms have been replaced with a realistic version and it's still big enough to have someone like Ronnie Coleman in it (well, his arms if not legs)). Talking with NPCs in Fallout 3 is just splendid, pretty similar to Fallout 1&2 and MUCH better than Oblivion's talking-with-npcs thing. Access/accessing to Most of the computers/terminals is awesome. VATS is awesome, you must be careful with it though I somehow managed to make my game lagging hard with it a few times. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

So my conclusion is.. That game is playable. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
