Need Help F2 not working

Hi i'm playing the Steam version of To Each His Own and F2 doesn't bring up the game interface anymore, instead it lowers the screen brightness making the game virtually unplayable. I tried deliting the options file since that fixed every probem i ever had in City Of Abandoned Ships, i tried starting a new game i thought that maybe Sticky Keys was activated, it wasn't the case. Nothing seems to work wich it's a shame since i'm so hooked up with this game. Please help.

Do you have an HP laptop perchance?

If so then I think know what is happening.
At least in my case the F2 key lowers the brightness.
For some reason HP is the opposite of every other laptop I have used, where you had to press the Fn key to do such stuff.

You can go into your BIOS setup and fix that.
There should be an option named "Action Keys Mode" or something similar.
Or maybe try pressing Fn+Shift, if you don't want to go into the BIOS.

Alternatively you could be pressing the Fn key and F2, but this is impractical in my opinion.
As at least I use the actual F1-F12 keys more than their secondary function.

I think my DELL default settings were like that as well.

I had this problem too. Try pressing the "fn" key and then F2, it really works!

The DELL I use doesn't have this.
But it won't surprise me if other models do this.

Yep, if everything else fails I suspect that this will work.
