I believe that firearms have already been added to the v2 combine mod...But i also have reason to believe that some firearms were exculded.

After reading this little article i was shocked to find out that rifling start as early as the 1400's. It is my understanding that muskets were not rifled. Musketts are classified as smooth bore weapons.

Were rifled weapons used as a mainstay in COAS period? No. But wouldnt it be interesting if we could have experimental weapons on board.

These could include our rifled muskets, or the cannons about the Flying Dutchman in POTC (movie), grenades, mines, even torpedoes ( http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_invented_the_torpedo )

Perhaps a weapon specialist could be recruited and if funded large sums of money could develop said weapoms


Again, these are just ideas, none of which need to be taken seriously...just my imagination working overtime

New weapons require new models, with the exception of a few guys working on ships, COAS has almost no modelers.

CM V3 does include one new weapon for NPC's, the matchlock musket; complete with new sound. :sail
 
oh dear....
The more ideas i get, the more i realise i have to learn how to do this stuff. My problem is that aside from retexturing skins for team fortress 2 (An example here) i have absolutly NO experience
