Maybe there are 278, I was looking thru the list and saw one mention of the bedwarmer, but not the thing that bothers me every time I see the scene.

After Elizabeth has been rescued by Sparrow, and before the Cursed Pirates attack Port Royal, she is in bed and the maid takes a bedwarmer and puts it into the bed with her. I always thought that a bedwarmer is put between the sheets to warm them before a person gets into the bed, and not left in the bed where it would burn the sheets, just like a hot iron, and anyone getting into the bed. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

I know that Elizabeth dumps the coals from the bedwarmer on one of the pirates later on in the scene, but I always wonder if their reseach is entirely correct.... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />

The maid leaves the room without taking it with her, so...

But I wonde why Elisabeth uses one in the first place, you would imagine the Carribean nights warm enough to do without.
 
Ah that would be true, warm Caribbean nights, yes... Hmmm... Ah well, there needed to be some reason to have it so she could dump it on her pursuers...

I've lived in a country called Colombia for a while and the temperature at night depends on alot of things. In Bogota, because of the elevation, it did get really cold at night, But in Neiva, in the bottom of a valley surrounded by mouintans and jungle, it stayed hot all night.

My guess is that the combination of living on the coast and at a high elevation in POTC, (The castle was a bit high up) it is feasable that it got chilly at night.

One mistake I noticed the first time I saw POTC was when Jack had the hand-cuffs on put them over the rope and slid down the rope, then ran away. Now try this: tie a rope between your wrists. Find a pole with a rope going to another pole. Now try to get the rope between your wists over the pole, onto the rope, and move to the other end. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
