the game is located in: /C:>My Games>Pirates of the caribbean

You don't have it installed in Program Files, your running a non genuine copy of Windows 7, and your getting a generic crash. If you want us to help you solve your problem, you will need to provide a lot more information than what you have so far. For instance :

1. Have you read the F.A.Q. and all the subsequent links it points you to???
2. Are you using a laptop or desktop?
3. How much free ram do you have?
4. Type of graphics card or graphics chipset?
5. What version of the mod do you have installed?
6. Do you get the same error with just the stock version of POTC installed?
7. Windows 7 32 bit or 64?

@ Thagarr, i think we have already established that Kimo1 is also using a pirated(as in cracked) version of PotC - so that is a large part why it isn't working, and not really our duty to 'fix' imho ;)

@Kimo1 what you need to do is get a legit(non-pirated version) of PotC, then we can actually help you. The reason is very obvious, 90% of all pirated software will contain virus/trojans and in same way be not fully functional. That is the problem you are experiencing. It is nothing to do with PotC or the Build Mod at all. Until you get a real version of PotC it is going to be impossible to help. Finding a real copy can be difficult as it is an old game, but amazon do still have copies:

http://www.amazon.com/Pirates-Caribbean-Pc/dp/B00009YUGP/ref=sr_1_13?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1313235382&sr=1-13

or

And you can probably find it on ebay or maybe get lucky in the local bargin bins of your local computer stores(or find it 'used') etc.

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/Pirates-Caribbean-PC-2003-/6484898?_dmpt=Video_Games_Games&_pcategid=139973&_pcatid=2&_refkw=Pirates+of+the+Caribbean+PC&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A5212&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

It is just not going to be possible to fix your problem as the problem will be coming from your pirated version of PotC. I hope that clears things up for you(and all of us here). :)

Thanks for the info Black Bart, that is exactly what I was thinking. I should have investigated his other posts a bit more throughly.
