I been playing around with Empire Total War. needless to say it pretty dam good. I spend alot of time in naval battles. It reminds me of AOS II. The graphics are great. The level of detail is astounding. it covers the 1700 through 1812. Lots of Factions. Online is good. Its like 3 games in one. It does have some issues. but patches are coming along to to fix those. You need a good system to play it with all the eye candy. 2.5 gig Cpu, 2 gigs ram, And lots of HD space, 20 gigs.and a active net connection. My only issue is Steam is needed regardless to play.
They are using 2 rendering engines, one for shader 2.0 and one for shader 3.0, thats great for those with older cards. FYI Don't get it off Steam. buy the DVds. Its a 45 min install with the DVDs, Yes there are 2 of them. And God only knows how long to download it.
Modding is coming along nicely. plenty of user created mods coming out. Even one out now to add the AOS II look to the ships. the write up on their website does not do this game justice.
