Dutchman

i won't be able to get on the internet a lot now. it's acting up again, worse than ever before. from those few centimeters of the ship that i can see, i can't really tell if they're good yet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> maybe this isn't the right topic for this, but i can't really afford to be picky right now.

nice looking ship is there anyway to add it to aop as it is from your site razor? or do i need to find a way to change it to work in aop if so i am lost there
 
To Razor: I'm going to check out your new Dutchman. I'll probably be adding the triple guns to her if you didn't do so yourself.

To DeathRose: This Dutchman is based on a model made by a Russian modder for AoP.

Have a look <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=10896&view=findpost&p=213083" target="_blank">here</a>. I made a Film Ships mod including all versions of the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman. Naturally Razor's latest version is used as the Cursed Dutchman and the original version (using Razor's modified model) is used as the normal Flying Dutchman as captained by Will.

i just got it downloaded and extracted but there is no ship int data for it to be added to my game. Is there a post telling people how to do this? if not could some one tell me how to do it?

ships_init.c data? That came straight from AoP: It's the Lineship data. Also in <a href="http://www.s31clan.com/pietersmods/potc_downloads/FilmShips.zip" target="_blank">this</a> file the ships_init.c file IS included.
 
So when i install the mod you've put together Pieter. Where can I capture/buy the said ships in it.

I can never seem to find them anywhere :p
 
You can't capture them nor buy them because they're supposed to be used as quest ships. Of course you can set their <i>refShip.CanBuy</i> and <i>refShip.CanEncounter</i> values to <i>true</i> in ships_init.c. If you then start a new game or load a savegame and reinit through F11, the ships will become encounterable and buyable. Of course that might make for some weird effects (imagine a fleet consisting of two Dutchmans, one Black Pearl and the Wicked Wench), but that is up to yourself. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
has anyone noticed that with razor's dutchman, there is a randomly placed lamp under one of the bottom sails.

and i mean razor's dutchman as in the russian version with razor's sail plan

now i just need to add it to aop but after i looked at it i need to do it the old fashion way not the copy paste which i am cool with since i need to learn how to mod aop

The lamp is supposed to be attached to the mast, but it's slightly off. The same applies to the stern lights.
 
could someone re-position the lamps on the stern and the mast so they are in the right place, especially the one near the mast
 
whitch model did u download 2.0 2.1 3.0 ??? 3.0 have the coolest sails and model but if u gonna download 3.0 download the "flying dutchman v3.0update" to ....OR u can download pieter's Film Ships mod but my willdutchman sail.tx is cooler :p
 
Is there a willdutchman.tga.tx file in the 3.0 download now? There wasn't when I downloaded last time.
Edit: I redownloaded the file and there is no willdutchman.tga.tx. There is a different sail texture in the "normal" subfolder, but this is torn in the same way as the Davy Jones sail texture. Is this the file you mean?

well in the Textures folder ist a folder name "normale" there is the will dutchman skin and sails
 
Ah. So that indeed ARE the Will sails. Thanks for clearing that up. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
hey razor, i've extracted your dutchman 3.0 updates into the flying dutchman folder in Resources/Models/Ships, but i see no difference in size of the triangle sails. whats up with it, was it something you did wrong or was it something i did wrong
