Dutchman and Amsterdam

Here is the Lineship from AOP (which is used for the Dutchman) and the walk file for the Amsterdam.

The AOP Lineship has had the rope locators corrected and a walk file edited for it (this should work with the Flying Dutchman) also corrected the Amsterdam's walk file, I will probably do either the AOP Battleship or the AOP Warship next <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

My game does not start when i add it ..WHY? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

the fleuts in PotC are good but not how a fleut must be..
 
Enable <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9234" target="_blank">error logging</a> and see what's going wrong.

As for the Flying Dutchman: You changed the GM files, didn't you? The Dutchman's GM file was altered from the original Lineship and stuff was added to it (bow piece, triple cannons, redone rigging). I think your changes to the model would require some additional work to work for the Dutchman. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
actually, the PotC flutes are quite accurate when i compare them with pictures. the only major difference are the bows, and maybe the rigging.

I wish some 3-D modeler would add the missing railings to the decks.

railings? does it need those? aren't the bulwarks enough? although i do admit that replacing them with railings would look better.

I do wonder what this does for the legality of our modpack. We are hyjacking rather a lot from AoP. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

The Dutchman would have some additional model locators and some changed rigging stuff.
 
yes, that flute really needs those. it'd look way better. strange i didn't notice, cos i did have one once. but on the other hand, i don't really pay attention to such things.
 
I just put the Amsterdam walk file in my game, but it seems the crew is still walking in the air on the stern deck. I made sure that the new walk file indeed IS loaded, but something seems to be wrong. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Also I compared the Flying Dutchman in the game with the AoP Lineship and they really are not the same model. There are some similarities, but the Dutchman has quite a bit of stuff added to it. It seems someone took the AoP Lineship and actually modified the model itself for the Flying Dutchman, rather than just adding the Dutchman bow as I had originally presumed..
