We live in an age and lifestyle of information pollution and a high dopamine diet. These are some videos and resources that help enlighten on the subject and suggest more productive and healthier alternatives. Keep in mind that adjustment should be gradual, and that it takes time. (About 30 days, to be precise, for the body to adapt to a new routine and effectively adopt it.)

Warning: A sudden withdrawal from dopamine can cause depression -- so be mindful about how far you go and how fast. Make the change gradually, make it comfortable/pleasing (accepting the change open-mindedly and associating it with pleasant feelings), and give your body ample time to adjust.

By the way, if you are trying to control this and you are really struggling with it, don't feel like a failure, because you're not -- you're actually a warrior for keeping on trying. This is one of the hardest things to balance in life, in the human condition -- mostly because as living creatures we are affected by our environment. An imbalanced living environment and lifestyle triggers an equally imbalanced body response in us (in an effort to counteract it).

(In its intuitive observations/foundations, Newton's natural laws of motion apply here, too, with an appropriate delay, on a biological level.)
