Do that Hearts around the big hearts when dancing mean

Is there a connection on how well you do in the dance to the quality of the info that the Governors daughter gives you?

Also, is there really any advantage to getting hitched?
 
If you get enough of them you will get a `super-woo`. This is a different ending to the dance. I also think she will give you a better reward as well. That has been my observation although I cannot state if the reward is better for sure. How many little hearts it takes depends on the attractiveness of the daughter.

Actually its the amount of flourishes you have achieved consecutively. So if you do 5 flourishes in a row, 5 lil hearts will appear and if you miss the next one they will then disappear.

I assume getting 5 flourishes in a row is better than just getting 5 individual ones for impressing the girl
 
Odd thing though is that if you have 4 little hearts up there, and then she tells you to just go right and you do with no problem all the hearts disappear. All the hard work and she starts you at donut. WOMEN!
 
I think the little hearts disappear for 2 reasons: (1) you stumbled; or (2) you did so good that the bid heart got one size bigger. If the latter, then you start over again with the little hearts working toward your next big heart.
 
Yes you will lose all of your hearts if you stumble but you said that the size of your heart goes bigger if you managed to get all small hearts around it.

In the dancing "timing" also seems to be of importance even if you managed to get the move in time without stumbling, you wont earn an additional heart. You have to precisely hit the button when she points into the direction you want to go. You know that you have done it right when both characters (you and her) do addtional moves i.e doing a 360 degrees turn while moving to the direction wanted by her and this will earn you a heart. If you do not do it on this precise time you will still go to the direction but neither of you will do a special movie to indicate your success.
 
The timing is with the music. You need to do it on the 1 count of either the 3 or 4 count music. (some songs are 3, some are 4)
 
You get the little hearts with the spins only. They go into the big heart when you miss a spin move or stumble. If you miss the spin, you get full credit for all the prior spins, it just keeps track of how many in a row you have. Did that make sense?

I still don't understand why you loose the little harts. I only get the little harts when I'm dancing with a rather plain or attrictive daughter. I seem to loose them for no clear reason. Even when I don't make a mistake I suddenly loose all the little hearts. Is this completely timing related?
 
I knew I didn't do a good job at explaining that.
If your timing is perfect, you do a pirouette. Each pirouette gives you a little heart. When you don't get a pirouette, all of the little hearts go into the big heart. It's not the mistake, it's the lack of a pirouette that makes the little hearts disapear.
Try thinking of the little hearts as bonus counters. They keep a count of how many outstanding moves you've done in a row. Once the "in a row" part is broken, you start over.
 
Its like a "strike" in bowling, you keep getting the X (little hearts) until you no longer make a strike (pirouette), then all the X's you have are added to your score.. (big heart) and you start with a blank frame. (screen)

Hmm, on 2nd thought this might confuse even more people.. oh well :p

I seem to get the most pirouettes and little hearts when I press the button exactly the same time that she points with her hand..

so i picked once char with charme skill and get the dancingshoes
as early i can and look at it
every move i made was a special turn wich gives you small hearts
around the big one ......
and i can tell you thats need to get the kiss on mouth but its ok
if you dont have the hole round if you get sometimes more than
2 hearts around its enought to get the kiss

with my character i get it 2 times around that means 24 little haerts
so you can call me mista lova lova yeah harr

Almost harder than the Duel with Montalban..... That's good to know as it used to annoy me no end that I'd be dancing up a storm, getting her all worked up only to lose all those hearts for not getting the timing right.
