Different cameraangles when sailing?

If you watch the trailer you will notice that another sailing view is used than we have seen in the screenshots. The view moves in the same direction as the ship (could be a coincedence) and the view is also less overhead and more zoomed in. I think this trailer view is awesome and a much better choice than the classic Pirates view.

The question is now if you will be able to choose which camera to use or if the game choose it for you dependent on where you are on the map..

However I am not sure if the camera can rotate in sailing mode so you will be able to watch the Pirates world from the same side as your crew, undependent on where you sailing......

that would be very cool

No 'First Person' perspektive seems to be choosable though which is a little bit sad.

I agree about the first person view.
And you are right, there is obviously a closer view. I can also imagine that you can switch views while sailing.

I assume this is one reason why so may remakes fail. The dont take advantage of the new technology.

If Pirates2 was made for the first time today I belive it would have a FP view. but during the old days FP views were impossible.

from Civrules FAQ:

"-- The sailing sequences, playable either from an isometric or chase view, reveal a living world with a compelling and convincing wind and sea model*"

what does those views really mean.

I would like a view that is a 'third person view' like in this link: (that you always look at the ship from behind no matter which direction you are heading.)

I havent seen a 'thrid person' view when sailing in any video.

the question is if (in this screenie) the surrounding will rotate if you turn left or right....... then we have a third person view when sailing!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
