..so I decided to find Dawn of War II at torrent sites and fetch it off from there as a no-steam cracked version. Found one with lots of positive comments and decent download speed. Ok.. got the game.. tried it.. simply put: It sucks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Not only they dumbed down Dreadnought.. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> they made the game a tactical I-don't-know-what rather than a RTS. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> So now I'm gonna try again with getting that Dawn of War Dark Crusade. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Seriously.. the messed up their DoW II big time. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" />
 
Meh, its okay. Its not an RTS any more. More like a squad based tactical game in which you have a very specific set of squads you can work with and what you can change is thier gear between missions.

I actually enjoy it. Its just very different from DoW.

I mean you can't save the game while playing it.. only place you can save your progress in the campaign is when in the mission taking menu where you can also upgrade your commanders. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
That's just stupid. I could see something like that being in an eight or nine year-old game, but one from now? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
 
Yeah that's just <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" /> to the gamer faces. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> If they planned to make a tactical game then they could have worked more on it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Ah.. I like the game somewhat.. I figured out that those Dreadnoughts do better in combat without a machine gun.. meaning they ramble better in battlefield with two hands rather than one. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> But I prefer dreadnought with a machine gun but thanks to the damage reducement of the dreadnought's machine gun in DoW II I have no choice but to have a melee Dreadnought which performs better in that blasted game. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> And actually I find it quite enjoyable going blindly into the fight with your commander (the main one).. and watch him cutting the orks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> And having to put items (improved armors and weapons) on your characters is a neat idea. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
