Can you get cursed ships outside of the Jack sparrow story line?

Which storyline are you playing?

Find Mr. Gibbs in the Tortuga tavern and get the Aztec Compass from him. Go find Hendrick Vanderdecken in the Isla de Muerte Shipwreck.

The above should work fine then. There's only two storylines where Mr. Gibbs isn't there.

Yep, still needs to be improved further. The next update, due within two weeks, should at least be a bit more stable.
