Controls remapped in init_pc don't stick

Hey folks! Long time, no see. I finally got tired of shifting hands so much to use the command menu, especially with Captain Blood's intro sequence. So, I think this has something to do with the options files in the main and \SAVE\(my profile)\options\ folders. How can I make controls that I change manually "stick?"

You have to Reset Controls to Default in the Options menu for your changes to take effect.
Alternatively, remove the file called "options" from your game folder.
