Cheap cost

After realizing this game isn't a `follow-up` for the movie, I decided to buy it (not that I consider the movie bad, but `follow-up` games usually are). Anyway, I checked the price via an online store and the tag reads 12$?

So now I'm terribly bewildered, any particular reason why it's so cheap?

It's OLLLLLLD... Came out in 2003 when the movie was released. Yes, while it's not *quite* the movie, it does have elements of the movie in it - like the undead pirates and the skeleton pirates - and the unlucky Aztec coin... There is a "Will" skin and a Barbossa skin - and even a Jack Sparrow skin AND the Black Pearl - in the gamefiles and unlocked by the fan modders. That's about all that ties into the movie. The game map isn't even in the Caribbean! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

There's no real plot that ties in, no quest or side quest... The modders have discussed doing one up - there is a female character skin that if `re-painted` to give her dark hair would make a nice Elizabeth. Fango, I recomend you play the game through to the end, then get the build 12 patch <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Oh, I never thought the game would lose its value so fast! It's about 1 year and half since it came out, more or less. I guess games that don't enable multiplayer lose their value faster than games that does.
