OK guys, just a thread to put down some of the changes you would like made in EIC to make it better.

1. Trade route should have the possibility of being manul (ie. you say what port(s) and what item(s)
2. Automatic trade routes should have a budget
3. When in the diplomacy screen the game should keep going.
4. When clicking enter port on 2D, you don't need a welcome screen, just go straight to port.
5. Unlocking ships sounds to "consoleish" it should be to buy plans or design costs...
6. There seems no way to find out profit/loss from an individual ship, theis is bad (is it there and I just cannot find it?)
7. Because you cannot make trade route manual, you also cannot use a captured port as a storage, ie. fast ships from port goto the storage and take items which the slower ships store there from their long voyages. (like a feeder warehouse fro the home port)
8. There seems to be no way to take a ship ot of a convoy. It would be nice if you make a mistake or just want to move ship.
9. Ship AI is really bad, if you put it to flee mode it tries to go in the direction of the wind, if that happens to mean you go past a line of 5 enemy ships, no problem!
 
Thanks for these and keep them coming! We'll be sure pick some of these up and put them in patches.

3. 1st patch made it optional to have Game Info not paused. However, in diplomacy, negotiations, it is not possible. You see, if for example you offer 1 000 000 to AI company by dragging that amount into table, and then year changes and expenses are deducted from your account, it might be that you do not have than much money anymore.

6. There is not thak kind of info per ship, not even per fleet, as you can combine and break up fleets at a whim so it would not be usable. In future patch you can see individual fleet's profit/loss for current cargo so you can easily see if the auto route it's on is still profitable and if so how much.

8. You can take ships out of the fleet or add them to it in any port.

9. Put your ship into flee-mode (red arrow) and then give it destination where you want. It will sail there and when it's far enough from enemies, it will escape from the battle. Also, if you put all your ships into flee-mode and AI does not shoot at you for 30 seconds, it will give up the pursuit.

Most of the suggestions you will probably already know come out of Patrician.
 
10. You should be able to select multiple towns for your trade route. (as 1 town has it's supply has been run down you can buy more at the next stop to make sure you have a full cargo of what it is you want)
11. The warehouse should automatically be able to buy at set prices (and of course supply the ship on the trade route as it enters port)
12. Sea Battles are getting really annoying, there should be an auto resolve for fleeing. The fact you have to waste 5-10min every battle to run away (if that's possible) is making me not bother to play at the moment.

13. Add more possibilities to spend your money. E.g. hire a (master-) shipwright for your shipyard to improve ship performance, option to arm your ships with 9, 12, 18 or 24 pounders, copper plating, better sails, build ships with soft/hard wood, choose between more cargo load or cannons etc.
 
14) Make FLEE an option for auto combat
15) Make storing goods in a warehouse an option for trade routes
16) Make an auto option to assign a new ship to a fleet the next time it is in port
 
17. Ship models need to be fixed. the sotl is missing its right rear roof. right anchor is inverted. lots of silly mistakes.
 
18. Why no port fees. If you own ports you should be able to get fees from the other ships entering the port. Would add to company profits etc. Of course, you would have to pay fees when you enter other ports, but that's the way it was.

If you destroy a pirate base, the other Nations should pay you for that. After all the pirates are a threat to all Nations and they should be glad they are eliminated or reduced.

If these are in the game already then it is :facepalm However I haven't figured out how to use them. :cheers
