Build 14A6 Bugs?

Hi all,

I just would like to know if these bugs are known and/or experienced by others as well: During the game when visiting "cloned" locations, one is "teleported" randomly between these locations:

Example: Land at the beach on Guadeloupe, walk to the jungle and return to the ship. Then sail to Oxbay and land on the Far Beach, walk into the jungle - and voila - you are on Guadeloupe, of course without your ship ...

The same happened for me at several other locations, not always but sometimes.

Also I noticed "strange" sounds when on land or in fights: The footsteps of the char and of nearby chars cause quite a lot of somewhat clicking noise. Is that normal or can it be changed? I also noticed, that some towns had different music than before (also some of those from standard POTC) - is this a new feature?

Before you ask: I installed it exactly according to the recommendations given in the forum. I was running Build 13 before, which was working without any major problems.

There is a reason it's still in alpha stage. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I think a fix for the random teleports is in Alpha 7. But it seems that getting that to work is rather tricky.
 
Thank you Pieter. Of course it's Alpha. I just asked because I was not able to find a conclusive bug list and the bug tracker seems not to be up-to-date, either.

If it wouldn't take weeks to dig into the sourcecode, I would be willing to offer my programming skills for fixing those bugs, but I am afraid my time is too limited ... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

Still POTC Build Mod is a great project , keep it up <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Yes, I've done some experimental coding that was added in the Build 14 alpha 6 - Spanish and Portugues town should have a different music than the others. There should be some other changes, different tavern musics and French governor music as well. But I forgot to check if it was added correctly or not, blame me.

Just checked in the Build 14 alpha6 files... Apparently all is ok but a little detail : cave_or_dungeon_walking.ogg is added as a new file, eventhought this should be stock PotC music - quite strange, normally it isn't needed.
