well for now i'd like to stick to testing but do you know a tutorial for modding this game perhaps then i could help with the real work

i just read the quest writing tutorial and i believe it is outdated cause i have to open interal settings.h instead of builltsetting.h and they are in the program folder not in the main directory
and there are more storylines. I managed to find every file needed so far but it sure is outdated.
lol i gues this is some sort of a bug too?

The information contained should still be valid, even if the actual files have been moved/renamed since then.
The basic concept for quest writing has remained the same. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

i am doing the mings storyline from ledgend of sparrow and i am at the part where i need to find the pirat for the 3 map piece.
now i talked to barbossa and he said i need to look for the pirat at some island but i tried both beaches and the caves near them but i just can't find him.
could somone plz tell me?
 
What island? Are you searching for Couchcaptain Charles at Puerto Rico?
If so, he's not on one of the beaches; you have to do some additional exploring.
He's on the small island around Puerto Rico; there's a strange cave there.

so it isn't in one of the fast travel beaches? o and it is puerto rico
 
You can fast travel to the beach of the island, yes, but he's not actually ON the beach. He's further in the island.
