all towns, and yes i did run RunMe.bat, i will try reinstal the game and see if the problem is gone
ok reinstaled the game and the textures are fine i must hame made a mistake while instaling, anh how can you get more money at the start of the game

Please install Build 14 Alpha 8 again as per the instructions. Those files you refer to are not supposed to be there at all. You really do have to remove the PROGRAM folder prior to installation to prevent files from being there when they're not supposed to.

Can anyone confirm Sinner's problem?

I'm experiencing the same problem as Sinner (I think). After clearing the deck of a boarded ship, there's still an invisible fighter taking swipes at me. When I hit back I see 0/48 damage done. Since I can't kill it, the battle never ends and I can't go to the next deck. The phantom fighter seems to be lurking near the mast. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
i dunno if its just me like just entering the world of modding but is there a way you cin create your own sail logo? if nt then i think that would be a gd idea for the future:p PEACE!!!! x DJ Juicylicious x
 
You can do it, just search for it on the Alpha and Brainstorming there are a few examples of how you have to do it.

The invisible boarders may have to to something with the locators. There are to few locators and that is why they get stuck inside the mast. Someone should check how much boarders are generated and how much locators there are.
 
well, i did once fight three guys inside each other on one of the lower decks in build 13. but that only happens when you're seriously outnumbered.
 
The invisible boarder thing is probably a visible one that is generated at point (0,0,0) below the mast.
The reason is because of missing or erroneous locators, like Thomas says.
The reason for the 0/48 damage thing is because there's some of your crewmembers down there as well and you can hurt them.

my biggest bug: I cannot load game after I save+exit.. the coin dont move and When it does, by a milimeter, it crashes.. and ya.. for now ill just stay IN-GAME as i can load back to the game if I stay in it lol.. hope i get that fixed somehow.. plz help


EIDT: OH and btw the one that added, in console, godmode + 6 officers + interceptor + lvl40 + all abilites + all skills + some free points skills and such things is my king <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
 
That would be Pirate_KK. Indeed it is MOST useful. Especially for testing purposes as well.
Us modders don't really have time for proper playing, so cheatmodes are brilliantly useful. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
You need to have the <i>return;</i> line outcommented for this one to work and also you must be in a port.
 
i cant find where to activate the cheat mode its not in the build settings document <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":huh" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
 
PROGRAM\InternalSettings.h is the one you need. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" />
 
Question: How do I distribute my skill points in Build 14 alpha 8? I've disabled the auto-skill option, or set to manually picking skills, but when I click on the skill in the menu it does not increase.

you can distribute the points just push on the skill sign when it starts glowing press the up arrow on the keybord and then you can put points wherevere you want <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

Haye Pieter, Im Jefferson from Belgium, nice to meet you, i was wondering that it would be intresting to bring a couple of new (famous, not from movies) ships in the game, related with a quest maybe. Here are a couple of fame ships, maybe you know those ones already, but I think that this is a good and fun Idea for the next build of potc.

I cant believe there is a single sailor that never heard about the famous HMS Victory, Trinidad, Great Michael, Queen Anne and Mary Rose

i heard at least the name of each one once in my life....

im sure all those ships will be added in the game as the time flows

but you just make me imagine how would be Lord Nelson's storyline ^^
 
I just happen to have a model of the Victory for 3ds max, but I don't know how to make ship models for PotC. I'd be happy to volunteer it if someone were to take up the cause
 
As is usually the case, of course we'd <i>like</i> to have all these ships in the game.
However, somebody has to make them which is the point where we hit a snag.
We don't have that many people to work on anything.
And the people we <i>do</i> have work on what they like to do themselves.
We don't really have a "plan" or "schedule" or anything.
Also until very recently nobody had any idea how to put a new ship model into the game properly.
Since the help that seaward.ru has provided us with, at least <i>somebody</i> now knows.
However, that still leaves a fair amount of people who have yet to find out. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
