question more precisely! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> (Wier muessen alle English lernen!)

There is no German translation and Pieter already said that localising the Builds will be to time-intensive. That is fully self-explanatory...to much work for to little result.

Of course you can start a translation but this is a very difficult task to do. As Nosie already wrote: "Wir müssen alle Englisch lernen!" <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

In fact if you are able to communicate here on the forum then you shouldn't have a problem ingame.<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

The only thing I'm missing is the speech of the NPCs. They were very funny in the original German version since they spoke in their local slang (Dutch/Spanish) and told funny things. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Roric,
if you still have those dialog files, it should not be too difficult
to put them back into the game english or not. Go to Dialogs/English
and have a look, I'm changing them for my own use and it works!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I'm not sure how to do this. I have the German soundfiles here but what else do I need to change?

Hi Noise, can you please send a list of which files of the german version, I have to put in that folder.

Thanx

Look in POTC\Resource\INI\Alias\sound_alias.ini .

That file lists various places and conditions were specific sound files are used.
Just change the entries to match some of the files you have.

If there are specific characters whose greeting you want to change, that can be done in their entries in the
POTC\Program\characters\init\ "(whatevertown.c)" file

Roric, you're version has Spanish female sounds? If so, could you put those on ftp?
The English version only has only English, Dutch and French files for female voices:

maxDistance = 40.0

I have no spanish female voices in the german version. Where did you get them from, Roric?

The funny thing is that I have some italian male voice in the german version that I never heard in the game before. Don't know where they come from or where ever they needed for. In my opinion there are no italians in the game, right? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" />

by making a copy of files you want to replace and if they're not working
reset to the orginal files! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Sounds is one thing, texts another...

Can someone put a complete list of files where the texts are located?

There are already translations for French, Russian and Polish, so whoever produced these, can you help?

I'd be willing to translate the texts into German (well, I don't have too much time for this, so don't expect results too early).

I'm working on a German translation for the Build 14 A 8. Would be good if someone could help me.

EDIT:

It takes to much time to translate all of the text's
